What are mini-sessions? A mini session is a shorter photography session (about 20 minutes). My mini sessions this year are not themed. They will be a mixture classic portraits and lifestyle photos that you can hang in your home all year long. Feel free to bring holiday props if you would like and I will have a couple with me that are available if you would like to use them.
What will I receive? You will receive 8 - 10 edit images hosted in an online gallery with a print release to print the images at a printer of your choice. Photos are available quickly (with in 72 hours) so may use them for holiday cards.
Who are these for? Anyone! Up to 5 people. Get some photos of your family, just your kids, you & your spouse. Have more than 5 people? Please book and pay for two time slots.
What is the cost: $75, a $40 deposit is required when booking your session.

]]>May the 4th is referred to as "Star Wars Day" and the couple incorporated details from the famous movies into their big day, including their entrance song and a bridal party photo with light sabers.
It was a pleasure to photograph their wedding day and capture their authentic smiles through out the day. They are a truly happy couple and their happiness radiated throughout the entire day.

]]>I hadn't been to a Medieval Faire since middle school and I was glad to see that vibrant colors, great food, and unique personalities have a remained just as I remembered them. I'm glad my kids got to experience it for the first time. We did so much in the short time we were there. P was an assistant in a magic show and had her hair wrapped. We saw a juggling show. Silas shook hands with a giant skeleton. He also bought a wooden sword and was thrilled to find out we had our own heirloom sword at home that he will inherit someday. There was a life size hamster wheel / slushy making machine that the kids were in love with. The kids rode a wooden swing ride that looked like it came from the dark ages. We saw a troll, a creepy clown, an angel, royalty and knights in shining armor all in addition to the many townspeople working the fair. The kids threw darts and Chinese throwing stars (yikes), P even won a prize for her dart skills. I ate some deliciously greasy fried green tomatoes and Brice chowed down on a Turkey leg (and refused to let me take a picture).
I loved being able to capture the Faire workers in their environment. How fun would it be to work at a faire like this? I loved how everyone stayed in character. The people working there were so believable I questioned if some of them really believed they were in the Middle Ages. Here are some of my favorite shots of the day.

Just look at these pictures of my sweet niece Harper. If she doesn't make you melt, you must be made of stone. She is such a ham in front of the camera, she is filled with sass and sparkle... and those eyes. I can hardly take how cute she is.

All that aside, the trip was totally worth it, because I got to attend and photograph a beautiful wedding. The wedding took place at the Bonds Lake Warming House in Ransomville, NY. The location was beautiful and rustic. The hill side view was gorgeous. The ceremony and reception were decorated with rustic touches that paired perfectly with the location. The string lights that billowed from the ceiling provided the perfect ambiance for the event.
Adrianna and Brandon had a really fun wedding party. It was hard to get photos, with all of them being serious at the same time, but who wants serious looking lifeless photographs anyways? You can tell Adrianna and Brandon are both surrounded by so much love and so many people routing for them. It was a beautiful wedding for a great couple!

I was so happy the weather held out for the Knight family session at Tom Varn park. We could hear some thunder in the distance during the shoot, but we managed to stay dry. The mostly overcast sky provided some beautiful natural light and the blues the family wore were a perfect balance for the greens and stones at the park.. I loved how there outfits all went together without being to "matchy".

I really wish senior sessions like this existed when I was a teen. Graduating from high school is a huge milestone; I love that senior sessions document who a person is at this time in his or her life.
My senior sessions are created specifically and uniquely for each client. Before my senior sessions I ask my clients to create a Pinterest board to show me the type of photos they like. I tailor the sessions and location to their likes and interests. I welcome clients bring their own props to the session, and I encourage the clients' input throughout the shoot.

Meagan and Spencer were married at Pelican Beach Park in Satellite Beach Florida in the Vista Pavilion. It was upwards of 90' outside but the day was beautiful. The pavilion kept everyone in the shade and caught the sea breeze just right. The Pavilion overlooks the ocean and the park is peaceful with picturesque views of sea-grass and mangroves. It is a great place for a simple ceremony. The ceremony was small, short, and sweet as requested by the bride and groom.
Alex Warner played guitar and sang as the bride walked down the aisle. I loved that he sang instead of just an instrumental. He did a great job, I would definitely recommend him to anyone in the area. The music was sweet gift from the maid of honor and her boyfriend.
The flowers including Meagan's beautiful crown were by Eau Gallie Florist. We were so grateful to them because we had a mishap with some flowers we ordered on Etsy, and they were able to put take our order on short notice and the flowers were more beautiful than we had hoped for.
Meagan wore her new-mother-in-laws beautiful bracelet as her "something borrowed"; it was a gift to her MIL from her grandmother.
For her "something old" she wore diamond stud earrings that now belong to her mother, but originally belonged to get her great aunt.
For her "something blue" Meagan and Spencer requested that everyone attending the small wedding wore at least a hint of blue.
For her "something new", Meagan's bouquet was adorned with an Origami Owl Locket that held a picture of her dad, Scott, who passed away recently.
Scott was so missed at the wedding. Our mom looked beautiful walking Meagan down the aisle in his absence. He would have loved to walk her down the aisle to Spencer. He would be so happy they were finally married. As we were leaving the ceremony site, Meagan and Spencer noticed that there is a garden at the park with a plaque that says "Scotty's Garden". None of us had noticed it at our other visits to the park.
After the ceremony we had dinner and cake at Skewers Mediterranean Grille. The food was delicious and the staff was great. They were so accommodating, especially Brittany who coordinated for our party. The belly dancer was a fun touch, the kids had a blast dancing with her, as did some of the adults.
One of Meagan's clients made the gorgeous cake. The cake by Simply Southern Sweets was as delicious as it was gorgeous. (btw Meagan is an amazing hairdresser, and styled her own hair for the wedding... book with her at Hair'Say2).

I was so happy to take these pictures for her and Spencer. It was hilarious to watch them during this session. Their personalities suit each other wonderfully. They both made fun of each other and made each other laugh (and rolled their eyes at me) during the entire shoot. Neither of them were over-the-moon to get their pictures taken, so I kind of forced and nagged them until they did it, and but the results were beautiful.

Kaitlyn and Frankie are expecting their first child, a boy named Weston in September. It was really great to meet them. They both seemed really down to earth and like a lot of fun. I loved that they wanted some silly shots mixed into their session. It was evident how excited they are to meet Weston. I can't wait to meet him and shoot his newborn pictures.

I loved the different outfits Margaret picked for her session. Margaret's floral dress was the perfect compliment to her girl's pale pink dresses. and they all matched so sweetly with the pink castle hotel. The boho flower crown and dusty rose colored bell-sleeved top looked she chose looked so whimsical in the tall sea grass, and I loved how her black maternity gown flowed in the sea breeze.

I was excited to shoot her maternity session at Crews Lake Wilderness Park. I love the the different backdrops the park provides. It was the perfect scenery to match Christel's romantic pink maternity gown. River was the perfect little model with his bright blue eyes. He was hesitant at first, but had a lot of fun once we got started. I wonder how this whole set up seemed from his two-year-old perspective. He looked at me and his mother like we were nuts asking him to sit in a giant cereal bowl! He gave in happily though when his mom bribed him with m&m's.
Side note: My sweet six year old son assistant deserves most of the credit, he acted as River's personal comedian so I could get these great shots... he will be paid accordingly, in Xbox money.

Memorial day weekend was drenched with rain from Tropical Storm Alberto and I was feeling stir crazy all weekend. Finally on Monday the rain held out until late evening and I had the opportunity to get outside and photograph one of my favorite brother and sister duos.
Isabella has the biggest personality and had a lot of her own ideas for poses. She is the perfect combination of sweet and sassy. Alex was hesitant around the camera, but what came through in the photographs was his charming little grin and striking blue eyes.
